Browser Extension

Bring DataMagik into Plex and other web apps — automation buttons, apps, and dashboards, right where you already work.

The DataMagik browser extension puts DataMagik on top of the web applications you use every day, most importantly Plex. Instead of switching tabs, you launch automations, open custom apps, and view dashboards without leaving the page you're on — and DataMagik knows the context of that page (the order, container, or shipper you're looking at).

What it adds

  • Automation buttons — the automations you build appear as buttons on the pages that match their screen rules, so a "Print Label" or "Generate Report" action is one click away.
  • Apps & dashboards in placeApplication Designer apps and dashboards can open embedded in Plex, using the current screen's context.
  • Screen context — the extension passes the current page's parameters (for example an order or shipper id) to your automations, apps, and scripts, so they act on exactly what you're looking at.
  • AI assistant — ask the assistant about the screen you're on, without leaving Plex.

Installing

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store (or Edge Add-ons) and search for DataMagik.
  2. Click Add to Chrome (or Add to Edge), then pin the extension so it's easy to reach.

Signing in

The extension signs in to your DataMagik company so it knows which automations and apps you can use. Once paired it can keep you signed in automatically — see Extension Auto Login for setup and troubleshooting (for example, switching between production and staging requires a fresh sign-in).

On mobile

For access away from a desktop, the same apps and dashboards are available in the mobile application.

Good to know: what you see in the extension follows your permissions and the screen rules on each automation — you only ever see the actions you're allowed to run on the page you're on.
