Lot Hold Notice

Place a quality hold and print the full downstream container trace

medium ~15 min setup 3 components

Overview

When suspect material is found, the hard part is not flagging the container in front of you - it is finding everything that came out of it. This recipe traces the container genealogy downstream, sets each affected container to Hold with a note pointing back at the source serial, and renders a single Lot Hold Notice covering the whole tree. Every row is identified by its true container Serial No and carries its own Code 128 barcode, so a scan resolves to exactly one container. Tracking No is shown alongside it as a separate column, because a tracking number is shared by every container produced from the same tracking unit and cannot identify a container on its own. The document also reports part and job, location, quantity with gross and net weight, and whether the container has already shipped - the row an auditor cares about most. The notice carries DataMagik branding, repeats table headers across page breaks, keeps rows and the sign-off block from splitting across pages, and ends with Quality Manager and Production Release signature lines.

What's Included

Lot Hold Automation Primary

The trigger. Adds a Lot Hold button to the Plex Container view screen: runs the LotHold script against the container on screen, then refreshes the page so the new Hold status is visible.

LotHold Script

Lot Hold Notice Document Template

Branded PDF hold notice: source container summary, disposition note, and every downstream affected container with its serial barcode.
